MARK 8:13-21
13And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side.14Now the disciples had forgotten to take bread, neither had they in the ship with them more than one loaf.
15And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the leaven of Herod.16And they reasoned among themselves, saying,
It is because we have no bread.
17And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?18Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not?
and do ye not remember?19When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.
20And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
21And he said unto them,
How is it that ye do not understand?
======================
Someone please tell me what this means!
Is this a trick question?
I hate to sound mean but I think this rendition of Jesus sounds maniacal!
I’ll tell you the truth, I don’t and never have understood what the above means!
I have never perceived, understood, nor seen, neither remembered anyone that does get what the above means!
I don’t think it means anything! Do you?
(For the longest time I thought this was a mathematical poser.)
The point is he doesn’t want you to understand. It is a mock of Jesus, his disciples, the miracle of feeding of the 5000 etc and
mocking the gospel of John!
————————————-
1)Did they have bread or not?
Obviously, they did have bread because verse 14 states that they had a loaf of bread! So someone is contradicting himself just in the above verses! They must not have realized that they had bread, because they ask within themselves is it because we have no bread, when they had a loaf of bread.
2) Does the Synoptic Jesus know that they had a loaf of bread?
Either the Synoptic Jesus doesn’t know that they had a loaf of bread, or he is lying and using his power of suggestion to make them think that they don’t have bread when in actuality they had a loaf of bread as verse 14 states. (If they had a loaf of bread on the ship….why didn’t the Synoptic Jesus know it? If the Synoptic Jesus knew that there was a loaf of bread on the ship why didn’t he just tell them that they had a loaf of bread on the ship?)
3) Is the Synoptic Jesus berating the disciples?
Definitely! The Synoptic Jesus is very good at creating chaos and confusion. He loves to make them look stupid and make himself look oh so smart when in reality he is crazy, but he is so crazy he doesn’t know that he is crazy. For if he were in his right mind he would say..
Hey guys, there is a loaf of bread on the ship as verse 14 states.
4)What does the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod have to do with whether or not they had taken bread?
Nothing. Just propaganda, I’m sure! In these verses Jesus is saying to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Herod and they say Is it because we have no bread when they did have bread. It makes no sense! It is inane.
=============================================
The feeding of the four thousand is not in the gospel of John
and it is not in the Gospel of Luke.

Diminishing Jesus written about in the Gospel of John
—————————–
John 6:51
I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
He is the bread that came down from Heaven. So either the Synoptic disciples did not believe that he was the living bread and did not believe the Gospel of John or the Synoptic Jesus forgot to tell them that he was the living bread or he did not know himself that he was the living bread,
or the Synoptic Gospels are full of HOT AIR
otherwise they would make sense!
This is proof that the Synoptic Jesus is trying to confuse!
Since Jesus is the bread of life and he taught his disciples this concept in the Gospel of John why wouldn’t Jesus in the Gospel of Mark just remind them? Because Jesus of the Gospel of Mark is not the same person as Jesus of the Gospel of John.
============
Paul wrote 1Corinthians or so the scholars say:
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Isaiah 64:4
For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
Did Paul write Isaiah?
Maybe.
==================================
How is it that ye do not understand?
The point is he doesn’t want them to understand!
But as usual he betrays himself:
Paul was identified with being the Greek-speaking Egyptian that led 4000 murderers in the wilderness in the book of Acts.
Art not thou that Egyptian, which before these days madest an uproar, and leddest out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers?
The point I’m making is that
Paul is the Synoptic Jesus!
